Since 1996, NIBCAA has served the needs of the Hilton Head Island. A community-based organization NIBCAA continues to strive to stay on target with the needs of the community.
Started in response to an outpouring of concerns from local residents, NIBCAA was started by a group of minority business owners and community leaders. The founding members created the organization to foster economic development opportunities and improve the quality of life for the Hilton Head Island community at-large. Take a look at our programmatic priorities–
Offer skill building programs that empower youth and adults to develop and succeed in business
Provide support to individuals seeking to become 1st time homeowners
Provide youth and adults skill building programs to learn how to manage their personal and/or business finances effectively
Offer Parenting Support Programs that educate parents on how to be more involved in their children’s education at home and at school
Raise the awareness of Hilton Head’s indigenous African American community’s arts. crafts and food culture
Special initiatives like NIBCAA’s world renown Hilton Head Island Gullah Celebration, held annually during the month of February, help support the organization’s programmatic priorities. A dual benefit the Gullah Celebration is raising the awareness of Hilton Head’s indigenous African American community’s arts, crafts and food culture that has positively impacted the regional economy.
