The Community Wellness Program presents educational tools to prevent health threats or address health threats sooner, in an effort to increase success of treatment and lower the risk of complications.
In 2016, Community Wellness Program launched with three goals:
1) Encourage Native Islanders to set goals for developing healthy lifestyle habits as adults and youth
2) Get health screenings for abnormalities that may lead to heart attack, stroke, aneurysm and diabetes
3) Support awareness opportunities throughout the year at other community events targeting high risk populations, women, youth and families.
